Solution focused Hypnotherapy is a collaborative approach to psychotherapy which incorporates hypnotic trance to support clients in creating a positive future. It uses structured, brief, and, research-based techniques to reduce anxiety and, foster, new, positive behavioral, patterns.

What exactly is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a natural state of deep relaxation which we achieve through a form of guided meditation. In the comfort of my therapy space and reclining chair, or in the security of your own home, you will relax and unwind. This allows your conscious and unconscious mind to reconnect allowing you to tap into all your inner strengths and resources.

Welcome! I’m Liz Saville the founder of Your Mind Matters Hypnotherapy. I set up my solution focused hypnotherapy practice so that I can support you as you navigate life’s challenges, and help you to achieve your goals. I offer sessions online where we can connect through Microsoft Teams or Zoom. You can access the support you need from a comfortable, safe space of your choosing. All you need is a digital device which can access the meeting with camera and microphone, a comfortable place you can be quiet and alone without being disturbed for the hour. If you have an environment where you can sit or lay back it will really help you to benefit from the hypnosis work we do.

If you prefer to have a more personal face to face session you can attend your session with me in my home-based therapy space in Lindley. I have a lovely comfortable reclining chair and a chance to relax in a fresh space.

What matters most is that you feel comfortable and happy with the approach, so that together we can get the most out of your sessions.

How to begin your therapy journey

Step 1: Free discovery call

This is a no obligation call (approximately 10 mins) which gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the process and how we may be able to help you.

Step 2: Book an initial consultation

The Initial consultation lasts for approximately 45 mins and allows me to gather essential information from you and give an introduction to the neuroscience which underpins our process, This costs £50

Step 3: Sign up for sessions

Should you wish to begin a course of therapy with me I will provide you with a link to my therapeutic MP3 track for you to listen to at home each day. This supports the work we do in our sessions. You may book a block of 8 sessions and pay just £65 per session in advance, or pay £70 per session on a session by session basis.

Step 4: Our main sessions

Full sessions last approximately 1 hour and comprise of a structured series of psychotherapy exercises designed to help you to make progress towards your goals. Following the talking therapy we offer and experience of hypnotic trance in the form of deep relaxation. This is like giving your brain a hug. The trance allows your mind to form new neural pathways to help you create a new positive future.

Rapid progress and success

Our solution focused approach usually brings rapid progress for clients. Most clients have 8-12 sessions , occasionally more. Progress is generally faster when you listen to the hypnosis track daily. As you start to feel an improvement, your mental strength and resilience build, you fulfill your goals and you begin to live life to the full again. You decide when to end the sessions.

Smoking cessation and phobias

The sessions for phobias and smoking/vaping cessation follow a slightly different format.

Smoking cessation therapy involves a single 2 hour session at a cost of £140

Phobia therapy, for simple phobias consists of a course of four sessions each lasting approximately 1 hour. This allows for information gathering, rewind and a reframe which creates new positive templates in the mind, rewriting the thoughts which created the phobia. £70 per session.
